Alpheus' Journey on Greek TV - ERT 2

Anthos MCE is proud to announce the incredible success of our project, "Alpheus' Journey," which was recently featured on ERT 2, Greece's national television network. This captivating performance took place in the picturesque port of Katakolo as part of the 1st International Ancient Faia Festival.

The festival, centered around the myth of Alpheus and Arethousa, aimed to promote the wider area of Pyrgos through culture, tourism, and environmental awareness. George Voukanos' mesmerizing music, brought to life by the ERT's Contemporary Music Orchestra, created a truly unforgettable atmosphere.   

Narrator Leonidas Kakouris masterfully guided the audience through the tale, which was written by Effie Panagopoulou. Vasilis Mihas and Chrisa Roma delivered powerful performances as Alpheus and Arethousa, respectively. The musical pieces, performed by soprano Ada Athanasopoulou and tenor Yiannis Christopoulos, added depth and emotion to the narrative.

The performance of "Alpheus' Journey" on ERT 2 showcased the project's cultural significance and artistic excellence to a wider audience. This national television exposure further solidified the project's success and helped to promote the region of Pyrgos.
